"Other candidates more closely fit our criteria"

So I got the first response from all jobs I've applied for.

Declined.

Oh well. It wasn't even one of the ones I *really* wanted. I'm not sad or anything, but it was my first one. It kind of made me feel deflated though.

I realize I can't get every job I applied for, but it's just a bummer. I just wish I would hear back from some of the other places.

*crosses fingers that I don't have to go into teaching*
