Green Smoothie FAIL



Um, yuck. I found a recipe in a magazine for a green smoothie and I was intrigued.

1 cup fresh parsley (leaves & stems)
1/4 cup pineapple (sugar free if canned)
2 tsp honey
1 inch grated fresh ginger
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup water

Parsley is good. Pineapple is good. Parsley + Pineapple = *gag*

Looks a lot like Dr Oz's green drink!

He puts cukes in his too but I leave out the parsley.

Allison - it might be better. Spinach tends to not have a strong flavor like parsley. There was just too much competing between the parsley and pineapple.

Lol! I'm sorry it sucked but you made me laugh at least!

I'm drinking my very first green monster right now - kale, almond milk, banana, flaxseeds and a few strawberries. I'm not convinced yet. ;)

LOL Janet. Your green monster sounds almost exactly like what I usually drink except I do spinach instead of kale. But it's more like brown monster! Tastes good though, when the bananas are sweet enough.
