Nail polish

Did I tell y'all about the killer sale at Beauty Brands?

I rewarded myself for sticking to a running routine for a week (I'm kinda flaky like that where I need weekly rewards to keep myself interested). BB was having a BOGO sale on China Glaze, so I decided to hit them up for my reward(s).

They're normally $6.50, so I got two for $3.25 each. And then I checked out the clearance section and found TONS of OPI colors and some Essie for 65% off! I selected two OPI colors for only $2.98 each! They're regularly $8.50. They had some great Essie blues (Sag Harbor and another I can't remember), but I don't wear colors like that so it wasn't practical to purchase them. Such pretty colors though!

Here's what I got:
China Glaze Aztec Orange (on my toes now)
China Glaze Outrageous (bubble gum pink on my fingers now)
OPI Krème De La Kremlin

OPI Get Me To The Taj On Time

I painted the CG Outrageous on my nails on Wednesday with Avon Smooth Beginnings base coat, 3 coats of the color, and then topped it with Avon UV Gloss Guard top coat. This polish LASTS. It hasn't chipped at all noticeably (tiny spots on the tip of my pinkie and pointer nail). I just added another coat of the top coat this morning to keep it fresh looking. I'm very pleased with this quality. I usually buy cheap stuff, but I think this is worth the splurge. And it's not really even a splurge right now because of that amazing sale. The sale ends on 8/16/09 so you have plenty of time to get your goodies too!

In addition to the nail polish sale, BB is also doing their once a year $11.98 Liter Sale. The flier says they have over 80 salon brands of shampoo & conditioner (like Redken, Matrix, Chi, Joico, etc.) to choose from and they're all only $12. I don't use the fancy stuff in my hair, but I know lots of you lovelies do, so maybe you can stock up now and save some dough.

Okay, enough about pretty stuff. I'm gonna start a new post for talk about other stuff. It was getting really long on this one....
